UNBREAKABLE RACING ENGINE MOUNT STANDARD HEIGHT VE/VF V8

(To suit L98 L77 LS2 LS3 V8)


The engine mounts are all made from 5.0mm laser cut steel plate, components are laser cut and precision folded for increased strength and accuracy. They are all jigged for welding and finished in gloss black enamel paint. The same bushes are used for all mounts, a 50.0mm diameter cylindrical rubber bush and a 13.0mm thru bolt. Included in the design is a long lasting cylindrical bush that is always under compression no matter the direction of the load being applied. 


Suitable for track cars or vehicles with tight clearance engine bays or big diameter exhaust systems. 


The large diameter bush absorbs the engine vibration, but increases resistance the more the engine moves, reducing the movement to about 5mm. 


Can be used individually on the passenger side in conjunction with factory mount on the drivers side to reduce engine lifting under acceleration and maintain a smooth factory feel, or in pairs to stiffen up the front end and significantly reduce engine movement during high speed cornering, acceleration and deceleration.

It’s a road-gong version of the car that stormed to victory at Silverstone last month, the Continental GT3, and ticks off 0-62mph in 3.8sec: this is some grand tourer The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s just been introduced into the Flying Spur saloon has been wound up to a heady 572bhp, with a stonking 516lb ft combining to make this svelte coupe the fastest accelerating Bentley production car ever built, and a whopping 0.8sec better than the V8 S model. The GT3-R is not the fastest Bentley, though, with its top-end only 170mph (virtually walking pace, really), but the eight-speed ZF gearbox and final drive have been tuned to make this car a corner carver, as opposed to a top-end tourer.

The end of the internal combustion engine is nigh, they say, as the world tries to clean up its environmental act and works towards a goal of electric motors to power our personal transport. But car makers are fighting that belief by extracting more power for less fuel from ICE engines, and there’s still a very long way to go before the ICE engine is consigned to the history books. Volkswagen has already reduced the fuel consumption of both their diesel and petrol engines by 30 per cent since 2000 and plan a further reduction of 15 per cent by 2020.
